The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) provides financial assistance to help with travel and accommodation costs for patients who need to travel long distances for specialist medical treatment.

Eligibility:

• Live more than 100km from the nearest treating specialist
• Need to travel at least 100km one way to access specialist medical treatment
• Are a permanent resident of NSW
• Hold a valid Medicare card
